estemerwalt log homes holds grand re-opening celebration, raises over $4,000 for children's charity

June 2009—Estemerwalt Log Homes, a leading log home manufacturer based in Honesdale, PA, held their grand re-opening celebration on Saturday, June 13. Five generations and 126 years after the company opened as a lumber mill, Estemerwalt Log Homes recently completed a complete face lift to their office and surrounding property. The new office showcases Estemerwalt's craftsmanship and passion that they've become known for. The grand re-opening celebration, including a ribbon cutting ceremony, was attended by approximately 75 VIP guests.
In keeping with Estemerwalt's mission to uphold strong community bonds, the grand re-opening event was a charitable one, with the $50 entrance fee going to local charity, L.E.A.P.S. (Let Every Ability Play Safely) and Bounds Playground Project in Estemerwalt's Wayne County, PA. This organization's goal is to build a beautiful, all-inclusive playground with no barriers for children with disabilities. "One of our own employees had a disabled daughter, Grace," says company owner, Kurt Propst. "Sadly, Grace passed away last year, and while that loss is incredibly profound, being able to help out a cause that is close to her parents' hearts, and our own, is really special." The grand re-opening event raised $4146 for this exceptional organization.
Beyond the significant visual improvements of Estemerwalt's new office, this renovation allows them to expand their staff, ultimately helping provide ever-improved services to their customers.
"Customer's needs are our primary concern, and having an office that not only showcases what we can do for them, but also provides improved spaces for planning, drafting and meeting, is really exciting," says Propst. "I think my great grandfather would be really pleased, and I know our customers will be, too."
